Our Trip To Mexico

December 3rd, Matt and I spent 6 days in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. The weather was perfect while we were there the temps ranged from 85-87 degrees. We spent our time warming our toes in the sand, sitting by the Beach, Snorkeling, Deep Sea Fishing and viewing some of the most beautiful Ruins in the World, Chichen-Itza and Tulum. The Grand Princess Riveria was outstanding and I would recommended it to anyone. The meals and drinks were included so we also spent lots of time eating good food. Beside being on the Beach this Hotel has 7 different pools lots of activity going on all day, so if you were to get bored it would have to be your own fault. Matt and I met some great people while on our excursion Amanda and Derek from England, Jason and Pam from Canada and Ryan and Amy from North Carolina these couples really our day trips. I will attempt to post some pictures

Will we get an Indian Summer

Summer is officially over. I have been in denial for the last 2 weeks hoping somehow we would get more warm weather but no I don"t think so. I had to go to our storage unit yesterday and find all my fall and winter clothes so I wouldn't have to freeze any longer I found everything except my shoes. Hopefully I have some Boots, Closed Toe Shoes anything! Maybe I'll have to go and purchase some..... that's not a bad thing I guess. I have lots of updating to do just never take the time to get things in order and spend some time catching up on my blog. Girls Weekend, Seattle Trip, 30th Class Reunion and actually Scouting for the upcoming Deer hunt hopefully in the next few days I will be able to post some pics except for the Seattle Trip I must have taken at least 250 pics I wanted to have pics of everything. Then on our way home from Jeri and Jayson's I decided to take a look at all my pics pressed the wrong button and erased everyone of them I was so sad and mad at myself and there wasn't one thing I could do to get them back. Matt says hes buying me a disposable camera that way i can't press any buttons. You can bet I won't ever delete any more pics unless I really want to!!! I know how to do that now...

ITS SUMMER TIME

This is my favorite time of year, I know its HOT but I can adjust to the heat alot quicker then the cold.I'm going to continue to enjoy because I know that the snow will fly soon enough. I was going to do a better job at updating my blog and now I look and see I have failed. Matt and I have made several trips to St.George, a trip to Seattle, survived Fielding Fun Days and just last weekend a fast trip to Jackson Hole. While we were in St.George Trudy was nice enough to take some pics of Matt and I! I'll try and post them . We also took lots of pics in Seattle but I somehow erased them all from my camera so we have nothing to show for it except great memories. Gibson and Elliott are growing up so fast I wish we were closer so we could spoil them more. Maybe someday soon.I.m going to try and post the pics I do have so wish me luck if that doesn't work I'll recruit Trudys help she'll be up this weekend I can't wait to see her and Jeff

Could Spring Really Be Here?

What a beautiful day. Its about time!! I was starting to thing we would never get rid of the snow. Not much has been happening around our house, its actually pretty quite with everyone gone, but that's what its all about we raise our kids and then when the time is right for them (not always for us) they leave and venture out in this big world. We than hope and pray our kids learn some of the things we tried to teach them and on the other hand, forget some of the things we did teach them ! Next week my niece Tawsha with be graduating from Nursing School I'm so proud of her I know she has worked hard and we wish her Good luck. Matt and I are planning on being their at her Graduation. I can't decide if I'm more excited for Tawsha!! or for the trip to Sunny St. George!! I love the Dixie Sun and I love Tawsha also. Well everyone have a great day and enjoy the sunshine

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM

I told myself I would do better at blogging and I realize its already been almost two weeks since my last post. So without boring everyone I will attempt to get caught up. We celebrated Matt's Mothers 79th Birthday on April 1st. Yes she is a April Fools Baby!! It was a nice evening for us all, Matt and I went to her house made smoothies and watched American Idol which is a program I never thought I could get into, but this season has sucked me in and I have to plan around the shoe each week. I can't believe the level of talent on the show. That weekend we enjoyed Conference I always enjoy the talks and can't wait for the Ensign so I can go back and reread the talks I missed and refresh my memory on the ones I really enjoyed. There always seems to be one speaker that has a big impact on me and the things I do each day and this time it was Jeffery Hollands talk all I can say is WOW what a SPIRITUAL GIANT I challenge anyone who wasn't able to listen to him find his talk in the May Ensign or go to the LSD website I know you will love it.

WHERE IS SPRING?

Wow what a difference a week makes, just as you think spring is finally here Mother Nature lets you know different. All week the temps have been in the high 30's and low 40's not exactly what some would expect the middle of march to be. I guess that's Utah right... Matt and I have made it through our first week in a long time at home by ourselves, Matt will adjust quickly I'm sure, as for me It could take some time. I think us Mothers spend so much time doing things for our children that when it stops we're left thinking what now. We really are so happy for all our kids and the different stages they are in their Marriages proud of Braydon and Mickie and the decision they made to start off their lives together right and be Sealed in the Temple for all Eternity. Proud of Jeri and Jayson and the sacifices they have made to make sure Jayson gets his schooling finished. 1 more semester left yea!!! Proud of Trudy and Jeff they are living in St. George working hard and enjoying the Dixie sun.. Each one are examples to me and I would like to gives them all a Big Shout Out. I LOVE YOU ALL LOTS..

March 13th Braydon and Mickie were sealed in the Bountiful Temple what a beauitful day everything went as planned. I'm hoping to have some pic soon Matt insisted I leave my camera home and just let the Photographer do her job, one less worry right. For once I actually listened to him now I'm getting pretty anty about seeing and remembering that day. The Newlyweds went to Playa Del Carmen had a great time and are now completely moved into their new apartment in West Haven close to Mickies work, Braydons work for at least the next 6 months and Weber State where eventually they both hope to attend I'm sure they will be taking turns but thats what its all about right sharing. Monday was Me and Matt's first day being Empty Nesters not so sure I like this yet everyone says that will change hopefully it will after almost 30years of raising our kids it takes alittle time to adjust to. I'm so proud of all may children they each have they own special personalitys and have made such good chooses in life. It's so fun to watch each one of them with the spouces and little familys all I can say is Thanks and I love each one of you more then you'll ever know..
